1 month after quitting smoking
Aug. 19, 2024, 9:22 p.m.
The first month passed without smoking after I quit in July, and the effect it had on my overall health was more than super; it was rather renewing to my health, literally I feel like a different person.
On the physical side, my motor skills got way better; for example I don't need to hold when I climb the stairs, I also walk way easier. I can "headbang" when I listen to music without getting a headache too :).
On the psychological side, I dislike cigarettes now and their smoke doesn't affect me; the "Nicotine Gum" proved a handy partner for me in that regard; I chew on it day and night. but the trick is to "replace smoking with chewing the gum"; for example I used to smoke after meals; now I chew a nicotine gum after meals.
In regards to "shaping my psychology for quitting", I had notable people who kept telling me to quit -yes; the straw that broke the camel's back was the incident I wrote about in the previous post ; but my mother was one, and the other is the dear friend Laura Irons who had the strongest effect on my psychology; you can watch the video of Laura about the effects of smoking with M.S from here:
In the end, I hope this would help others to break the addiction cycle.
